Conducted Spiritual Retreats at YSS Dwarahat Ashram

YSS Dwarahat Ashram is an ideal place for YSS/SRF devotees to experience a spiritual retreat within the peaceful surroundings provided by the mountains, away from the din of the city.

INDIVIDUAL RETREATS are encouraged. Devotees can stay in the ashram for a maximum of five nights and utilize this period for remaining in silence, introspection, spiritual reading, and for practising the presence of God.

CONDUCTED GROUP RETREATS, led by sannyasis, are held twice a year - in March and April. These spiritual retreats consist of periods of silence, morning and evening Energization Exercises and Group Meditations, review of our divine Guru’s techniques of concentration and meditation, Gurudeva’s teachings and How-to-Live principles.

Dates for Conducted Spiritual Retreats in 2024:

1) Retreat (Hindi), including Kriya Diksha - September 28 to 30
Please note: Only those devotees who wish to take Kriya Diksha during this period will be allowed to attend this programme as it is a retreat and only a small number of devotees can be accommodated.
Registration for this programme is open from July 1 to 30, 2024.

2) Retreat (English) - November 15 to 17

Important Points to Note for Retreats:

  1. Retreats are open only to YSS/ SRF lesson students. 
  2. Please book in advance, either by filling out the online accommodation request form (by clicking here) or by calling YSS Dwarahat Ashram or by sending an email to [email protected]. (Please see the contact details given below.)
  3. Accommodation request for retreat sent by message on mobile or via email must include these: name, age/gender, YSS/SRF lesson number, arrival and departure details (date and time), and contact information.
  4. Normally, individual accommodation will be provided within the ashram. In case a large number of devotees are attending the retreat, shared accommodation will be provided. Ladies and gents will be accommodated separately.
  5. Only those devotees who plan to attend the entire retreat may apply.
  6. Please inform at least one week in advance, and await confirmation from the ashram.
  7. Those who wish to visit Mahavatar Babaji's cave should arrive one day early and depart one day after the retreat.
