It was on March 22, 1917, that Gurudeva, Sri Sri Paramahansa Yogananda, started his Yogoda satsanga Brahmacharya Vidyalaya in Dihika, West Bengal. The Vidyalaya later grew into Yogoda Satsanga Society of India . To mark the 100th Foundation Day of the Society, on March 22, 2017, special function was organized at Dwarahat ashram.
The function began with Prabhat Feri, followed by special meditation, pushpanjali, and the release of 100 balloons. In addition the students from Yogoda Balkrishnalaya and some devotees gathered in front of the Dhyana mandir. A passage from Autobiography of a Yogi where Guruji narrates the founding of the Brahmacharya Vidyala in ranchi was read out.
